Chriss no longer needs crutches, walking boot for injury originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Marquese Chriss is making progress in his injury rehab.
The Warriors center told TV broadcasters Bob Fitzgerald and Kelenna Azubuike on Monday that he’s walking without crutches and a boot now, about a month-and-a-half after he broke his right leg.
“I get to walk with both shoes now,” Chriss said during the “Marquese on the Mic” segment in the second quarter of Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. “It feels weird, but it’s nice to be able to be myself [somewhat].”
Chriss, 23, was set to play a key role in the Warriors’ frontcourt rotation this season. The center sustained an injury after Golden State’s second game Cheap Andrew Wiggins Jerseys of the season, leaving the Warriors thin up front in the event Kevon Looney and/or James Wiseman also sustained injuries.
That has been the Warriors’ reality practically all month, with Looney (sprained ankle) and Wiseman (sprained wrist) sidelined for most of February.
